Once upon a time, I was a shy little kid, seriously. One day (no this is not a fairy tale) my mom took me to a birthday party. Awkward and clinging to her leg for most of the event, until I finally started to get into it, rockin' out to the music, eating the cake, dancing with the kids, feeling the vibe.
Just when it was getting good, it was time to go. I turned to my mom with a forlorn look on my face and cried, "The party's orver?" That's not a typo...I said "orver." Then I proceeded to wail because I didn't want the party to end.
I haven't changed that much over the years...well, the shy part has dropped off, and so has the plaid mini-skirt, but I tend to be the last one to leave a good party (you know those social gatherings we used to have in our pre-COVID lives?)
As you may know, yesterday was the launch party for my Awakened Dreamer Oracle Cards (THANK YOU to all of you who participated!!!)...and just when it was getting good, the clock struck midnight. But, if it were my dream (which it is) I'd keep the party going, for at least one more day, right?
