I love me a good "rags to riches" story-especially when feeling the most raggedy!

I have to admit I notice a resistance to getting back to life after a week spent honoring the passing of not one, but two beloved people in my world. It's as if, on some level, I erroneously feel I'm betraying the memory of Teresa Swanson Sielck and Glenna D Walden by diving back into life.
But, I imagine, if they were alive they would say that they'd want me (and those of us whose lives have been tossed around because of their loss) to get back to life...that being fully engaged in life, while we're alive, is what would honor them. I can't imagine either of these amazing ladies/angels wanting me or any of us to dive into a cave of deep depression and stay there the rest of our lives.
It is a process...
But, I do also find it interesting that Dana Walden and I happen to be hosting our dear friend Joseph Gagnon, who is launching his new book TODAY-a book that we've been supporting the creation of for the last couple of years.
His book is not just about living life but living THE HIGH PERFORMANCE LIFE!! In other words, living life like every day counts, to the max!
How poetic!
Oy! What a juxtaposition! I love it--and I can't say it's a graceful dance I'm doing between these two worlds...it's more like a slam dance in the midst of a mosh pit. But, hey, as long as I'm alive, I'll be dancing. I think (no, I KNOW) Teresa and Glenna would give a two thumbs up to that.
Here's a short video of Joe talking about the book and the launch.
