Time to take off the air quotes...omg I graduated! 👀
OMG! I Graduated!
You may have heard me mention over the last couple of COVID years, while (relatively) sheltering in place, I decided to do something I've been wanting to do for a long time (like…decades)… which was go back to school and finish my degree (cue Beauty School Dropout, from Grease).
You probably know that I'm not a traditional gal. I've created my own curriculum for my life by following the breadcrumbs of my spirit. I always thought if I had gone back to school, it would take me backward on my spiritual path. But this program did the opposite— The New Seminary’s ministerial doctoral program in Interfaith Studies has taken me deeper (and wider) than I would’ve gone otherwise.
I share this with you, for a few reasons:
1. You are part of my sacred community and I want to share with you the important happenings of my life.
2. This story demonstrates the power of suggestion and the power of words. I've been calling myself “Doctor Dream” for years (with air quotes) until I finally have lived into it. So, my question for you is what are you calling yourself? What are you living into? What are the names and words that inspire you toward what you aspire to be, do and create?
3. It's never too late. Hello. I'm no spring chicken (although I am in my dreams). It’s never too late for any of us to circle back and finish the things that we've always wanted to do.
So...now back to our regularly scheduled entertainment...
Let's get sciency, shall we?
