In a word, it was: PROFOUND
Up until now, most of my spiritual work has been about leaving the body and traveling to the upper realms for vision, guidance, and clarity.
However, my time in Peru was completely the opposite—in fact, at one point, I slipped on a rock and fell, hitting my head on another rock on the way down. This was the hardest journey I've done (physically), but it landed me squarely on my ass and in my body.
Instead of trying to find God, Heaven, and Higher Love out of body, I was forced to find GOD IN my body...in the earth, in the roots, in the earthly, human aspects of life.
I realize that, yes we are spiritual beings having a human
experience, but that doesn't deny the profundity of the blessing of being in a human body.
Now that I'm back at home, I'm more grateful to be in this body. I think sometimes we have to travel far away and do strange and crazy things to be able to come back and see our lives with new vision.
In the spirit of gratitude as we tip-toe toward Thanksgiving…
I'm grateful to YOU for being in my life.
I'm grateful for the gift of clarity to appreciate the simple things.
I'm grateful for every time I've fallen on my ass and…
I'm grateful for the gift of dreams that takes me out of my body but also sends me right back in, with more gusto.
