Debbie Ford wants you to know Your Holiness
Although Debbie Ford passed away seven years ago, this beloved spiritual teacher left a powerful legacy, not just with her book The Dark Side of the Light Chasers and with The Shadow Effect, but with her newest book, YOUR HOLINESS.
"How," you might be wondering, "can someone who died five years ago come out with a new book?"
Well...soon after Debbie made her transition (passed away, clarified, however you want to refer to it), Debbie's sister, Ariel Ford, had a session with James Van Praagh. The world-renowned medium told Ariel that Debbie wanted to release a book about the power of prayer.
Ariel thought, "Well, it's a little late for that...because...forgive me for stating the obvious...she's not here to write it!”
Soon after the session, Ariel was exploring Debbie's belongings...and sure enough, she unearthed a nearly completed manuscript on the life-changing effects of prayer.
In the introduction of the book, Debbie talks about how she used to be a hopeless drug addict, and how at a certain point she knew that if she didn't get help she was going to die. On the tenth day of her 4th rehab center she was preparing to run away in search of drugs.
But, she needed to use the bathroom, and while there, she dropped to her hands and knees on the dirty floor, where she and prayed, and from that moment on, she gained the strength to get sober.
In Debbie's manuscript, that now, thanks to Ariel is now a book, Debbie combines motivational prayers with deeply personal stories about her own spiritual journey. She translates her experience into a practical path for transformation.
This very inspiring prescriptive book is so special. I'm loving it so much, especially, as you likely know, I'm moving through the loss of my friend, Gypsy. YOUR HOLINESS is healing my heart in the most unexpected ways. I can't wait to have Ariel Ford on the show today to talk about YOUR HOLINESS and her special relationship with her sister.
My prayer is that you (or anyone you know) who yearns to be closer to God, and/or suffers with hard or soft addictions, self-loathing, self-sabotage...through this book and this conversation are led back to the wisdom of your Divine Self.

Then in the second half of the show, I'll feature the amazing Justin Walden (aka Scarecrow Adams) who's created a fresh, new, highly relevant version of his Dad's famous song, How 'Bout Us, (featuring Pauli Carman of Champaign). The original version of How Bout Us, topped Billboard Pop/R&B charts in 1981.
In the wake of Black Lives Matter, Justin, heard the song from a slightly different, but radical perspective. Instead of as a lovesong from a man to a woman, this time from the world asking humanity for another shot. In the bridge of the original, Pauli Carman sings, "Are we gonna make it girl?" but Justin heard, "Are we gonna make it WORLD?"
New lyrics to this classic flooded Justin's awareness, and the end result is this incredibly timely, old wine in new wine skins, a new song woven within a classic that evoked the healing spirit I believe we all need right now.
